Thank you for your interest in graphology and for writing about it! In my opinion, it is an undervalued tool for understanding human personality. But as a graphologist, I must urge caution.
Handwriting analysis is a complex process in which all the characteristics of the handwriting must be studied together, not individually. Otherwise, the oversimplification leads to many errors.
Laurence, I very much appreciate your thoughtful comment and I the warning about oversimplification. I should have made that point more clearly instead of treating it so breezily, and I urge readers to heed your guidance. Is there a book or resource you might recommend for a layperson who is interested in learning more about this fascinating topic?
I think you give some great resources with the link to your blog. The books I use are all French (like me!) and I don't know many books in English. The only one I use and can recommend is "International Manual of Graphology - Core Insights into Handwriting Analysis" (https://amzn.to/4iArc3Q). Sadly, it no longer seems to be available. It is very comprehensive, maybe not for a total beginner, but for someone who really wants to understand the complexity of handwriting analysis.

Thank you, Laurence. I’ll add it to my list with that condition.
That was fun! my handwriting is a mess, mostly up and down with a slight right-ward slant. I write fast, normal i dotting and t crossing.
I've had at least one response that pooh-poohed the whole thing but there are those who take it very seriously. Thanks for reading!
