Let summer go with grace and gratitude.
Whether you’re sorry to see it go or happy it’s over, give summer a quick hug of gratitude as you let it go again this year. What lessons did you learn? What fun did you have? What challenges did you overcome? Acknowledge them all…and let them go. Next month is chock full of new adventures and—as always—some fabulous reasons to write a heartspoken note.
New USPS stamp release next week
This month has some wonderful stamp designs being released! I’ll share them the week before their release date.
First Continental Congress 1774. September 5 release. “This release commemorates the 250th anniversary of the First Continental Congress. Made up of delegates from 12 of the 13 Colonies, the First Continental Congress convened in 1774 to decide how the Colonies should respond to increasing threats to their freedom. The stamp art features a quote from the Congress’s protest letter to the King of England. The 12 stars stand for the 12 Colonies represented at the meeting. (Georgia did not agree with the protest and did not send representatives.) Antonio Alcalá served as art director, designer and typographer for this stamp.”

Have a great week and never forget: Whether written or spoken, words from the heart will never fail you.
Elizabeth, Thank you so much for this #Heartspoken post. I get so much enjoyment out of hearing you speak in that kind, compassionate voice that you have! I sincerely appreciate the monthly calendars that provide instant reasons for writing notes. I look forward to hearing more about your mini class on rhymes and haiku. It sounds so interesting. As I type this comment I have your #Heartspoken book by my side. I try to re-read a portion of it most days to keep my mind focused on writing notes that connect, comfort, encourage and inspire. You’re such a blessing. I’m happy you’re here 💛
