Summer is a great time for sending postcards
Our schedules can be crazy in the summer with vacations, visitors, and the kids home from school. If you’ve got a stash of postcards lying around, pull them out and let them be your quick and easy way to stay in touch. I just found a tote bag in my closet from a 2001 trip to England and Ireland and was thrilled to be reminded of the trip and now to have a stack of postcards to use for sending short notes. Stock up on a sheet or two of postcards stamps and you’re ready to go!

On a personal note…
Please be careful to avoid tick bites if you’re walking in grass or near shrubbery this summer, especially if you live in an area with a high deer population. I’ve just had a scary weekend of high fever and terrible headaches until a classic bullseye-shaped skin lesion showed up on my arm, indicating I had Lyme Disease from a deer tick bite. The right antibiotic has almost eliminated my symptoms, but I don’t wish them on anyone.
