My sister Sarah C. Albritton sent me the link to the performance/reading of this hilarious letter that defies imagining (oh, but you WILL imagine it!). It’s just under eight minutes.
Letter aficionados who enjoy hearing about letters on the quirky end of the spectrum should know about the YouTube channel called “Letters Live.” From its own description:
LETTERS LIVE is a series of live events celebrating the power of literary correspondence. My book HEARTSPOKEN: How to Write Notes that Connect, Comfort, Encourage, and Inspire does include a section called “Outside-the-Box-Note Writing,” but never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined including an apology letter to a hotel for trashing their room with a flock of seagulls.
