Day #4: Inspired and Inspiring: National Stationery Week
Inspired creativity -- two more of my favorite stationery artists
To celebrate National Stationery Week and spread the #HeartspokenMovement, I’m shining a daily spotlight on a few of my favorite stationery artists/companies. When you have stationery you love, you’re much more likely to grab a piece and send a note! Today, I’m featuring two wonderful notecard artists: Traci Bixby and her Mossy Blue Paper Co. and Meriah Kruse of Meriah Kruse Designs.
Traci Bixby: Inspired by the Pacific Northwest
I met Traci through the Greeting Card Association when I was a speaker at their fall workshop last year, and what a delight to discover her art and creations. In her enticing shop “Mossy Blue Paper Studio” (name inspired by the colors of her beloved Pacific Northwest), she’s created notecards for so many different occasions, and they can be a wonderful starting place for your own personal message of love and encouragement. Just perusing her notes will give you some ideas of notes you might want to write.
Traci is a member of our Facebook group “The Art of the Heartspoken Note” and I welcome her keeping us up to date on any new note-related creations.
Meriah Kruse: Inspired by Travel and Friendship
Meriah and I are both members of a group called Marketing Trailblazers, and I have been impressed with her wide range of creative talents in both visual arts as well as writing and entrepreneurial areas. She’s also a member of our Facebook group “The Art of the Heartspoken Note,” and I hope you’ll check out her notecards with their vibrant designs and vivid colors. While some of her notecards are themed, many are what I think of as “mood” cards and can contain any number of different kinds of messages, depending on you, your recipient, and the circumstances. Meriah says she’s gotten inspiration from her travels, and she’s also experimenting with incorporating some of her photography into her notecard art.
