Who comes to mind when you read that prompt “Write to someone you admire”? Perhaps you thought of someone in your church, a teacher, a mentor, a civic or industry leader? Whose words—written or spoken—have moved you or enriched your life? It’s human nature to love being appreciated, and you’d be surprised how many creators—e.g., authors, poets, musicians— rarely get written, heartspoken expressions of gratitude. Write them a note and tell them why you value their gift of time, wisdom, or service.
So many people use cell phones instead of landlines, so the phone book is no longer a reliable place to find addresses. I use Whitepages.com and am willing to pay the $23 annual fee for access. For celebrities, authors, or anyone with an online presence, you can sometimes find a mailing address on their website. If not, you can scan your note and send it via the site’s contact page. As a last resort, you can type your message into their contact form and forego the handwritten note.
If someone else entirely comes to mind, write to them and forget today’s prompt. I’d love to hear who you decided to write to and why! I’ll be posting my own daily activities in my Substack NOTES and my Facebook group, “The Art of the Heartspoken Note.”

The mantra of the Heartspoken Movement
Whether written or spoken, words from the heart will never fail you!
So many people come to mind when considering today’s theme. I’m really enjoying your daily prompts, Elizabeth, and I’m enjoying participating in this year’s “Thinking of You” week 💛
