The Stationery Conundrum
The second full week in May (13-19, 2024) is National Stationery Week. I love to support artists who makee notecards out of their artwork, and whenever I travel, I look for notecards by local artists or at least cards that reflect the local vibe or culture. So many choices, so little time (and the cost can add up)!
You may prefer to buy cards with pre-printed messages or themes. I do that sometimes, but mostly I just keep a wide variety of stationery so I pick something appropriate for the specific note I want to write.
Last year, each day during National Stationery Week, I featured some of my favorite notecard artists:
In our Facebook Group “The Art of the Heartspoken Note” this year, I’ll be asking members to share their favorite sources for stationery. What are yours? I’d love to hear from you in the comments below.
New USPS stamp release in May
Andsel Adams stamps (5/15/2024 release): This sheet of Forever stamps will feature 16 famous photographs made by the noted artist and environmentalist Ansel Adams. The first-day-issue event will take place at the Ansel Adams Gallery at Yosemite National Park in California. Dignitaries will include Matthew Adams, grandson of Ansel Adams.
Wait! Could you please do me a favor?

Even before this lovely reminder, your Substack helped me to remember to pick up a Mother's Day card earlier than I normally have in the past! Thank you!
